The Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSiRA) has made great strides in the introduction of the digital services platform. The system has also revealed some aspects that need to be addressed.

After careful consideration, PSiRA has decided to no longer accept bank deposits into the Authority's bank account as from 1 April 2023. The decision has come with the realisation that the online system has been operational for over a year and can be used to conduct online payments.

Clients are urged to make all payments on the online system or swipe using their bank cards at their nearest PSiRA branches. Branches are requested to keep a record of transactions made with clear indication of what amounts are being paid for, for allocation and reconciliation purposes. A description of transactions will be required from the branches for transactions processed each week.

Arrangements will be made for security service providers that are paying amounts that are R500 000 or higher that might be unable to pay using the online system or swipe at the branches.
